Harvesting Ginseng

Finding and harvesting ginseng in Middle Tennessee. Shows close up of plant and ginseng root. Also includes taking pictures and giving thanks to Nature.

Thank you for posting you videos online--I live in North Idaho and was thinking of doing the same thing with the medicinal plants on my land.

I went to Idaho in 2000, there are a lot of interesting plants there. Best of luck with your project. if more of us do this, we might actually bring quality back to the internet.

To do videos get a good camera, and wireless mike if someone else is shooting. Otherwise you can't get far from the camera and talk.

I am using Nero for editing, it ws the easiest to learn. The best advice beyond that is BE YOURSELF! I messed up a whole day of filming trying to memorize facts and follow scripts. Just get out there, enjoy yourself and say what you know. You can always do voice overs.
An example of this is my Indian Pipe video. I didn't know I was going to find that so it was totally spontaneous and I think by far the best one.
